Idex Corp., a provider of products and components with a focus on improving everyday life, has bought Iridian Spectral Technologies, a designer and manufacturer of optical filters.
Based in Ottawa, Ontario, Iridian serves the laser communications, telecommunications and life sciences markets. The company provides support throughout a product’s lifecycle, from initial prototyping to manufacturing. It offers thin-film design deposition and manufacturing technology of durable, high-performance filter optics.
“The addition of Iridian expands our already strong array of optical technology offerings and aligns with our company’s strategic growth plans,” Idex chief executive officer and president Eric Ashleman comments. “We welcome the Iridian team to Idex, where they will increase our offerings in core markets we serve now and allow us to expand into new ones.”
