HomeServices of America, the residential real estate affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway, is acquiring a minority stake in Title Resources Group, a title insurance underwriter.
Title Resources Group is one of the biggest title insurance underwriters in the United States according to the American Land Title Association. HomeServices is participating in the joint venture with TRG’s other major shareholders.
Scott McCall, president and CEO of Title Resources Group, said, “HomeServices of America is a long-time, valued customer of TRG, and we’re thrilled to welcome them as a significant shareholder to our joint venture.
