SilverEdge Government Solutions, a cybersecurity, software and intelligence services company serving the U.S. defense and intelligence communities and backed by Godspeed Capital Management, has bought Counter Threat Solutions, a provider of source and counterintelligence analysis, identity intelligence and enterprise IT and data management services.

Based in Reston, Va., CTS offers technology services to U.S. intelligence agencies. CTS employs more than 100 technical and mission support specialists, nearly 100 percent of whom hold high-level security clearances. The partnership looks to further SilverEdge’s position as a provider in the U.S. intelligence community. CTS will continue to operate with its current leadership under SilverEdge.

“By combining CTS’ capabilities with SilverEdge’s existing cybersecurity, software, and intelligence solutions, we are increasing our cleared workforce to approximately 450 engineers and technical staff whose primary focus is to provide our intelligence customers with the tools required to support critical mission needs,” comments Robert Miller, CEO of SilverEdge.

CTS was advised by the McLean Group. Latham & Watkins LLP acted as legal advisor to Godspeed.
