George P. Johnson, an event marketing and experiential agency, has acquired The Sane Company, a German-based experience design studio. This acquisition further cements GPJ’s interest in European markets while continuing its geographic expansion. Financial terms of the transaction have not been announced.

The Sane Company focuses on event and exhibition design, architectural design, motion design, and other services. GPJ and The Sane Company have worked together before on various projects, including Bosch, MINI, and Porsche.

GPJ’s holding company, Project, is encouraging the investment. The acquisition of The Sane Company is the firm’s second within the past year after the firm bought a significant minority stake in Nomobo, an Amsterdam-based full-service video production agency.

“Welcoming the immensely talented group from The Sane Company into GPJ’s global network of creative minds and studios will allow us to deliver on even more creativity and strategy when planning events in Germany, Europe and beyond,” said CEO of GPJ Chris Meyer.

GPJ is moving its headquarters to Stuttgart, Germany, which will house The Sane Company employee
