Prometheus Group, a provider of plant maintenance operations and optimization software and a portfolio company of Genstar Capital, has acquired Atonix Digital.

In conjunction with the acquisition, Prometheus has also launched Prometheus APM (asset performance management). AtonixOI (now Prometheus APM) was originally built by Black & Veatch, a construction and engineering company with over 25 years of software development experience. Today, the company is used by industrial sites, including manufacturing, power generation, chemical, oil and gas, as well as water treatment plants. The service monitors assets, helping operators predit problems or failures before they happen. Prometheus Group will enhance AtonixOI by integrating it into their operations and maintenance platform, working to allow organizations to gain savings and operational efficiencies from their asset data.

“By connecting the technology developed by engineering powerhouse Black and Veatch with our plant maintenance solutions, we will make APM more accessible and more relevant than it has ever been,” comments Eric Huang, founder and CEO of Prometheus Group.
