F45 Training Holdings Inc. (NYSE: FXLV), a growing fitness franchisor, has acquired Vive Active.

Introduced in Australia in 2017, Vive is a high-growth, Australian fitness company offering pilates workouts through in-studio, at home streaming and on-demand classes. The firm was founded to disrupt traditional pilates services and provide a new approach to transform the body and mind.

The acquisition will be funded through cash and will result in F45’s ownership of Vive’s existing owned studios and at-home platform. F45 will aim to scale Vive through the addition of new company-owned studios and leveraging its franchising expertise to accelerate expansion worldwide.

“We are thrilled to announce our first acquisition in purchasing Vive Active, a disruptive, innovative fitness brand that is truly complementary to the F45 portfolio,” said Adam Gilchrist, president, CEO and chairman of F45.

“As Vive prepares for its next phase of growth, I am confident that F45 is the ideal partner as we seek to introduce Vive’s unique approach to Pilates to new operators and fitness enthusiasts around the world,” added John Keats, co-founder and CEO of Vive Active.
