Direct Connect Logistix, a third-party transportation and logistics service platform backed by Huron Capital Partners, has acquired Performance Logistics, a Utah-based third-party logistics company.

Performance Logistics specializes in temperature-controlled shipments for customers, predominantly in the food and beverage end market. The acquisition of Performance Logistics will enable Direct Connect Logistix to expand into Mountain West and strengthen DCL’s customer base, geographic reach, and capabilities.

“We have been impressed by the company’s dedication to its customers, its growth capabilities, and its roster of blue-chip food and beverage customers”, DCL’s CEO Richard Piontek commented. “This acquisition provides us with a presence in the Mountain West for the first time and strengthens our refrigerated and frozen food capabilities. We also expect it will help us expand our customer base and increase market share with existing customers.”

Huron Capital Partner, Matt Lacki, added, “The acquisition will boost DCL’s core services into more national markets with a focus on non-discretionary, consumer staple, recession-resistant customer segments.”
