Data Dimensions, an electronic data interchange clearinghouse and technology services provider, has bought Providerflow, a healthcare technology company with a focus on improving provider workflow efficiency.

Providerflow’s services support electronic claim attachments as well as complimentary patient access requests and responses to other third-party requestors. By combining Providerflow’s electronic health records services with Data Dimensions’ EDI clearinghouse, the companies look to help clients pay their medical bills faster with no human involvement. According to the companies, paperless billing allows providers to be paid in under 14 days compared to over 90 days with the traditional process that relies on paper and faxes.

“The traditional P&C clearinghouse is antiquated,” comments Bryan Doyle, president and CEO of Data Dimensions. “With the addition of Providerflow’s technology and team, we are bolstering our clearinghouse with enhanced technology and redefining what a clearinghouse does for the property casualty market. We will be bringing more value to our clients, partners, and the industry.”
