CooperCompanies (NYSE:COO) has bought Generate Life Sciences, a life sciences platform providing reproductive and newborn stem cell services, from GI Partners private equity firm.

Generate Life Sciences was established by GI Partners in 2018 as a combination of California Cryobank Life Sciences and Cord Blood Registry. Generate serves families from preconception to post-birth throughout the journey of building a family and protecting their children’s health.

“With the combination of these two leading companies we had a vision to create and build a platform that could address the personal desires of families’ reproductive and stem cell needs,” added Dave Kreter, managing director at GI Partners.

“Generate helps families around the world benefit from an industry leading suite of reproductive, stem cell, and genetic services,” said Richard Jennings, Generate CEO.
