Carlyle has launched Telis Energy, a renewables platform focused on developing renewable energy projects, specifically solar, in the U.K., France, Spain and Germany.

Headquartered in London, Telis aims to develop and partner on renewable energy projects, with a target project pipeline of more than 10GW in place by 2030. Telis will be led by CEO Adrien Pinsard, who will be responsible for identifying, planning and executing on development and investment opportunities for Telis.

“The launch of Telis demonstrates Carlyle’s confidence in Europe’s renewables sector and the significant role it will play in our broader infrastructure strategy,” states Pooja Goyal, chief investment officer at Carlyle’s infrastructure group. “Leveraging Carlyle’s experience, we believe Telis is well positioned to capture emerging opportunities in solar, and other renewables segments, across European markets, benefitting from increased buyer demand for scalable and well-supported development platforms.”
