The Hilb Group, a property, casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage and advisory firm and a portfolio company of the Carlyle Group, has acquired Rhode Island-based OceanPoint Insurance, a provider of property and casualty products and services, as well as employee benefits offerings for their clients in commercial and personal lines.
Based in Middletown, R.I., OceanPoint has served the southeastern New England community for over 150 years. Agency principal Doug Mayhew and his team of insurance professionals will join the Hilb Group’s New England regional operations.
