Borealis Foods Inc., a food technology company, and Oxus Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company, have combined to form a new company under the name Borealis Foods Inc.

Borealis is a food technology company that offers a range of plant-based, ready-to-eat meals, which are sold in the U.S., Canada and are expected to soon be sold in Europe. Borealis Foods has launched a plant-based ramen meal with 20 grams of complete protein per serving. Through this deal, Borealis Foods will become a publicly traded company under its existing name. At closing, the company will continue to be led by Borealis’ CEO and co-founder Reza Soltanzadeh and chairman and co-founder Barthelemy Helg.

“By closing a business combination with Oxus, we can fully realize our mission of developing food technology solutions to address global food challenges,” comments Soltanzadeh. “This new company represents a significant step forward for us.”
