Bizzabo, an event experience operating system, has acquired Klik, a Montreal-based event tech startup that has delivered smart wearables technology to power onsite experiences. Klik’s technology is designed to help event leaders elevate and measure attendee engagement and participation.

The firm’s wearable tech and infrastructure provides data visibility at live events, allowing organizers to measure success and plan for future projects. Klik has powered events for brands like Airbnb, MIT and C2 Montreal.

Going forward, Bizzabo will integrate the technology into its event experience OS. In addition, Bizzabo will leverage the technology with Event Serendipity Engine from x.ai, an AI driven scheduling and matchmaking company acquired by Bizzabo in 2021.

“We are designing our event experience operating system to free event experience leaders from the technical limitations of event management software so they can create immersive experiences for attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and speakers,” said Eran Ben-Shushan, co-founder and CEO of Bizzabo. “With Klik’s novel technology and exceptional team of event professionals, we’re going to revolutionize in-person experiences.”
