Ascend LLC, a logistics services provider, has bought Fuchs Trucking LLC, a trucking and logistics company in Sauk City, Wis.
Fuchs focuses on the building materials and furniture sectors by offering capacity with dry van configurations. The acquisition will increase Ascend’s assets to over 1,100 tractors and more than 3,200 trailers. Ascend’s truckload brokerage offering looks to complement the company’s asset operations by providing expanded capacity, broader coverage, temperature-controlled vehicles and flatbed vehicles.
“Fuchs’ geographic footprint and focus on the customer makes them a perfect complement to the Ascend network,” says Michael McLary, Ascend CEO. “We will continue to acquire regional truckload companies that align well with Ascend, layering in our technology and driver-friendly routes and policies while strengthening the network density.
