Ara Partners, a private equity firm specializing in industrial decarbonization investments, has promoted James Wang to managing director and Mary Kathryn Nommensen to senior associate.

Wang joined Ara in 2018 as a principal and has concentrated on transaction execution, sourcing, portfolio management and investment realization. Wang has over 13 years of experience in private equity and prior to joining Ara served at private equity firm, First Reserve.

Nommensen joined the firm in 2020 as an associate and serves in transaction execution and portfolio management. Before Ara, Nommensen worked with Main Street Capital Corp. within the firm’s lower middle market investment division.
