Ara Partners, a private equity firm focused on industrial decarbonization investments, has acquired a majority interest in Lincoln Terminal Holdings LP, a renewable fuel logistics and infrastructure provider in the southeast and mid-Atlantic U.S.

Based in Greenville, S.C., Lincoln owns and operates five strategic rail trans-loading and storage facilities across four states. The company develops, commercializes and operates infrastructure for the distribution of transportation fuels to end-customers. Ara has also committed additional capital to support the expansion of the company’s renewable fuel infrastructure footprint.

“We strongly believe that renewable fuels are critical to accelerate decarbonization of the industrial sector,” comments George Yong, partner and co-head of infrastructure at Ara Partners. “We have been incredibly impressed with Lincoln’s depth of knowledge and experience in renewable fuel infrastructure.”
