Apax is acquiring SavATree, a tree, shrub and lawn care provider, from CI Capital Partners.

SavATree was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Bedford Hills, New York. The company services customers in 27 states through 58 locations. The Apax Funds, in partnership with SavATree’s leadership team, will strive to accelerate the company’s growth both organically and through strategic M&A.

“SavATree is a true leader in the arboriculture space and over its forty-year history has built an enviable brand and position in the industry,” said Ashish Karandikar, partner at Apax. “This is a market the Apax Funds know well, and SavATree was prioritized given the funds’ sub-sector specialization in route-based services and residential services with prior investments in Authority Brands, Garda, Safety Kleen, and ADCO.”

Apax was advised by Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Deutsche Bank and Baird. SavATree was advised by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Harris Williams.
