American Safety Council has acquired TPC, a provider of industrial skills and workplace safety training, from Frontenac, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

TPC provides workforce training and compliance services to organizations of all sizes spanning multiple disciplines. The firm helps its clients maximize the potential of its workforces, improve productivity and reduce downtime.

During its time with Frontenac, TPC deployed a strategic growth plan and completed five acquisitions that expanded its product portfolio and end markets. The firm also focused its attention more towards its specialized digital offerings and capabilities.

“TPC has accomplished everything we set out to achieve under our ownership and more,” added Ty Field, chairman of TPC. “We are proud of what TPC has built in collaboration with the Frontenac team, and we look forward to the business continuing to flourish under its new ownership.”

Harris Williams acted as financial advisor to TPC, and Baird served as financial advisor to ASC.  Honigman LLP served as legal counsel to TPC, and Alston & Bird LLP served as legal counsel to ASC.
