Allspring Global Investments, an independent global asset management firm with $575 billion in assets under management, has added Matt Wren as chief technology officer. Going forward, Wren will report to Allspring CEO, Joe Sullivan.

Wren joins the firm from BlackRock where he served as global head of investment technology. Wren additionally brings over 24 years of experience from his leadership roles with Barclays Global Investors and Barclays Capital where he focused on research, alpha generation, trading, investment operations, and risk management.
