Alberta Investment Management Corp., a Canadian-based institutional investment manager with over $150 billion of assets under management, has hired Marlene Puffer as chief investment officer.

Puffer has over 25 years of experience in cross-asset class portfolio management and liability-driven investments. Most recently, she was the president and CEO at CN Investment Division and was responsible for the investment management and organizational oversight of the CN pension trust funds. She is the former vice-chair of the board of the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan and past president of Women in Capital Markets.
