Signia Aerospace, a provider of systems and parts for the aerospace industry and a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has acquired Lifesaving Systems Corp., a maritime rescue and survival equipment company.
Based in Florida, Lifesaving Systems designs and manufactures the equipment that helicopter and maritime rescue teams use to save lives. From rescue hooks and personnel harnesses to titanium ladders and rescue litters, to the strobe lights used to signal for help and the rescue strops used to pull people to safety, Lifesaving Systems makes the gear rescuers use to help others. Cory VanBuskirk, president of Signia Mission Systems, will oversee both Onboard Systems and Lifesaving Systems.
“Together, our products will continue to play a significant role in rescue and disaster relief operations worldwide,” says Norman Jordan, chief executive officer of Signia Aerospace.
