A group of four attorneys—known for their work in real estate and commercial finance, M&A, licensing, and corporate counseling—has joined Ballard Spahr, announced firm chair Mark Stewart.

Partner Maulin Vidwans and of counsel Jennifer Santangelo are members of the firm’s finance department. Partner Ryan Udell and associate Adam J. Chelminiak are members of the firm’s business and transactions department.

“These attorneys work together seamlessly, and their collaborative approach will be welcomed at Ballard Spahr,” Stewart said. “Our existing M&A and Commercial Finance practice groups will certainly benefit from their addition, and I am sure that their practices will benefit from Ballard Spahr’s national platforms.”

Vidwans handles commercial and real estate finance transactions on a regional and national basis, representing national commercial banks and other capital sources in a wide range of debt and equity transactions, including M&A and timeshare financing transactions as well as loan restructurings. Santangelo advises lenders and borrowers on asset-based loans, real estate financing transactions, and mergers, acquisitions, and sales of businesses. She also handles acquisition, construction, and receivables financing for timeshare projects across the nation.

Udell advises companies in mergers, acquisitions, sales, licensing, and capital raising. He helps emerging growth companies to secure financing and represents angel and venture capital investors in debt and equity transactions. Chelminiak advises businesses in M&A transactions, capital-raising transactions, joint ventures, equity and debt financings, and general corporate matters.
