3Step Sports, a youth sports club and event operator, has bought Michigan Elite Volleyball Academy, a volleyball organization focused on training and building character in athletes.

Michigan Elite was founded in 2010 by a group of dads seeking opportunities and experiences for their children, including Steve Sack and Scott Conrad. Michigan Elite began with 50 teams, with Sack focusing on day-to-day operations and Conrad focusing on the financial aspects of the organization. Michigan Elite tripled its number of teams and revenue in the first eight years. The club now has 150 teams, with two primary locations and two satellite locations in Michigan.

“While we will still compete on the court, we will work collectively to strengthen our organizations and further establish Michigan Elite’s status as the premier club in the area,” comments Conrad.
