2K, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., has purchased PLATYGOBIAN, SL., doing business as Elite3d, a creative studio dedicated to innovative 2D and 3D artwork for the video game industry.

The acquired firm will rebrand to form a second office for wholly owned developer 31st Union and to develop a new 2K Publishing location, focusing on its global service division. 2K has also acquired Turia Games, a development studio co-owned by the founders of Elite3d. Following the acquisition, 31st Union will operate as one team across all disciplines.

Elite3d is a partner for many interactive entertainment companies with its work showcased across a wide portfolio of critically and commercially acclaimed video games.
