Bill O�Connell serves as Vice President of Business Operations and Portfolio Management within the Global Security Organization for ADP, one of the world�s largest providers of business outsourcing & human capital management solutions.� Bill leads a global team responsible for all operational planning initiatives paramount to meeting ADP�s strategic objectives for security, privacy and risk.� �Bill�s expertise and experience includes his understanding of operational and financial planning coupled with extensive strengths in technological acumen and advancements. Bill has lead a number of initiatives that received industry awards of excellence and are considered best practice solutions. Two examples of his recognized work include a Trusted Platform Security Infrastructure initiative and the architecture of a Client Security portal. Both initiatives were recognized in industry as Projects of the Year by IDG�, and by ISE�.� Bill has been at ADP for 4 years.Prior to ADP, Bill lead his own consultant practice and also worked for Deloitte, building and executing on strategic information security roadmaps for CISO�s and CIO�s of global Fortune 500 firms. Previous to Deloitte, Bill held information technology leadership roles where he was instrumental in driving significant business outcomes that drove company growth, client experience and favorable brand recognition. Bill holds numerous security and technology certifications including CISA, CISSP, ITIL and PMP.In addition to his current responsibilities at ADP, Bill is a frequent presenter on information security and technology trends, presenting at several events and industry conferences including: FS-ISAC, InfoSec World, Accounting Today�s IT Forum and the CIO Forum. Bill actively participates with government organizations and industry partners to foster good security practices within the community.�� For the past three years, Bill has been a key contributor to the National Cyber Security Alliance, and has spoken to thousands of students ages 8 -18 about how they can stay safe while using technology.� In 2012, Bill created the Small Business Security Summit which educates small businesses on how they can protect their business from cyber security threats.� This forum connects small business owners with industry leaders in security, providing them the opportunity to ask questions about security concerns, arming them with the tools they need in order to protect their business.Bill is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he also holds an MBA.� Bill has many interests outside of his professional career that have taken him to over 30 countries.� He is a competitive athlete, having completed over 100 running and triathlon races, including seven marathons and the Ironman Triathlon.� Bill resides in New Jersey with his wife and two beautiful children.��
