Brian Hamilton recently joined Capital One as SVP responsible for their National Small Business Digital and Mobile platforms. Prior to joining Capital One, Brian was the VP of SMB Commerce at VeriFone (PAY) and has over 15 years of experience in product development, business management and technical innovation in the payments space. Prior to his role at VeriFone, Brian co-founded Isomer Labs, a mobile technology incubator in San Francisco, and later became the Managing VP of Mobile Solutions at the start-up ChargeSmart. In that role he managed the mobile division of the company, developed the ChargeSmart Mobile POS solution (later launched as SAIL by VeriFone) and facilitated their successful acquisition by VeriFone.Previous to VeriFone Brian was a VP at Clear2Pay, responsible for Product and Strategy for North & South America, where he managed the evolution of Clear2Pay's payment hub product for the Americas markets, which included ACH, Wire, SWIFT and Card payment processing. Brian started his career at Wells Fargo as a Commercial Credit Officer, and later a VP in their Wholesale Internet Division and manager of Technical Sales and Product Development for their Foreign Exchange group. Brian was a dean's list scholar and graduated summa cum laude from Oregon State University's Pre-Law program with a B.S. in Sociology and minors in Business and C.S., is a Certified Treasury Professional with the AFP, and holds his Series 65 and other professional certifications.
