Frederic Brassard is Vice President, Corporate Development & Legal Affairs with Axium Infrastructure and has 12 years of experience in the areas of infrastructure principal investing, legal and financial advisory in corporate / project finance and merger & acquisition transactions, with sector expertise in power/energy, transportation and social infrastructure. Based at the firm`s New York office, Frederic joined Axium Infrastructure at its inception in 2009 and serves as a senior member of the US management team. He holds primary responsibility for the firm’s legal affairs as well as transaction origination and execution.Recent deal experience includes (i) Sea-to-Sky Highway and Anthony Henday Drive Southeast Leg Ring Road acquisition; (ii) winning consortium for CHUM Research Facility P3; (iii) 407 Highway minority interest acquisition; (iv) 1.2 GW US wind portfolio acquisition from EDP Renewables; (v) 108 MW solar portfolio acquisition from Recurrent Energy; and (vi) minority interest acquisition in GDF Suez’s 680 MW Canadian renewable operating portfolio.Frederic holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.) awarded with Distinction by the Faculty of Law of McGill University, an MBA with specialization in Finance from the London Business School and a Master of Public Policy and Administration with specialization in Political Economy (Gold Medalist) from Concordia University. Frederic is a member of the Bars of the State of New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Province of Quebec. Frederic is also a member of the board of directors of Quebec’s Institute for Public-Private Partnership.
