Bruce D. Murphy is head of Corporate Responsibility for the company, which includes leading our work in community development, philanthropic investments, supplier diversity, diversity and inclusion and sustainability.Murphy is responsible for ensuring a balance between the achievement of returns with the reputation of the company. In doing so, he leads the effort to have fair and responsible products and services, leveraging the company�s investment in communities, creating a diverse workplace and business environment, supplier diversity, philanthropic investments, and leading the company�s environmental sustainability efforts.In 1990, Murphy joined Human Resources for AmeriTrust, which later merged into Society Corp, Key�s predecessor. Prior to coming to Cleveland, he spent 12 years in a wide range of both planning and operations functions in Retail and Human Resources at Mellon National Bank in Pittsburgh.Murphy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and a masters degree in public administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He has also studied at the University of Michigan and Case Western Reserve University in a variety of leadership programs.He is currently a member of the Cuyahoga Community College Board of Trustees, Leadership Cleveland, board member of A.M. McGregor Foundation, and Bank Administration Institute. Murphy serves as Board Chair for the Center for Financial Services Innovation and also serves on the FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion.
