Schroders Picks Up STW

The deal will increase Schroders fixed-income assets under management by 50 percent

Schroders plc will acquire STW Fixed Income Management LLC, a fixed-income manager.

STW, headquartered in Carpinteria, Calif., manages about $11.9 billion on behalf of more than 100 institutional clients.

After the deal closes, London-based Schroders will have $35 billion fixed-income assets under management, a 50 percent increase. Schroders, an asset-management company, has more than $300 billion under management.  The company is making the purchase through its subsidiary, Schroder U.S. Holdings Inc.

The company’s clients include financial institutions, public authorities and pension funds.
