Healthcare: Perrigo Purchases Rosemont Pharmaceuticals for $283M

Perrigo’s second deal this month expands its liquid medications portfolio

Allegan, Mich.-based pharmaceutical company Perrigo Co. (Nasdaq: PRGO) is buying Rosemont Pharmaceuticals Ltd. for about $283 million.

Rosemont, based in Leeds, U.K., makes specialty and generic prescription pharmaceutical company that makes oral, liquid products.

The deal will broaden Perrigo’s consumer product portfolio, and aligns with its goal of adding more liquid medications its offerings and expanding its U.K. portfolio.

In February, Perrigo announced it would buy pet medication company Velcera for $160 million and in December the company completed a $45 million deal for Cobrek Pharmaceuticals Inc.
