Performance Marketing Buys Pushpins

Pushpins is a mobile application that provides users with coupons

Performance Marketing Brands has bought Pushpins, a mobile application that offers grocery shoppers digital coupons.

Pushpins also offers nutritional information for more than 150,000 products. The application, which integrates with customer loyalty cards so coupons are automatically deducted at checkout, is available for iPhones.

Pushpins was created by Jason Gurwina and Peter Michailidis when they were Harvard University MBA students. The Palo Alto-based company was backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Archimedes Capital.

Performance Marketing owns shopping programs such as Ebates.com, FatWallet.com and AnyCoupons.com. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
