AlixPartners - The global advisory firm announced that it hired three directors. Steve Anthony joined the Boston office. He formerly worked at Charles River Associates and specializes in technology optimization. Dan DenBoer, previously president at DenBoer Associates, is based in the Chicago office. Sanjay Sehgal, a former managing partner at Value Matrix LLC, joined as director in the Washington, D.C. office.
Bregal Investments - The firm announced the formation of Bregal Partners, a new middle market private equity fund with $500 million of committed capital. The fund, based in New York, will focus on control-oriented investments in North America in industries that include consumer goods, food and beverage, healthcare and energy services. Robert Bergmann and Scott Perekslis, previously both with Centre Partners, will manage the fund.
Crédit Agricole – The investment banking firm announced three new senior executive appointments, including Frederic Truchot and Stéphane Publie. Both were appointed to the management committee, while Renaud Latreille was named head of mergers and acquisitions for the U.S. and Canada. All are based in New York City.
Dechert LLP – The international law firm brought in Marianne Schaffner as a partner in Paris. Previously, Schaffner was head of the intellectual property practice at law firm Linklaters LLP and co-head of its media and entertainment group.
DLA Piper – The firm poached five new hires from McDermott, Will & Emery LLP. They include Michael Austin and Joshua Kaye as partners in its Miami office, as well as counsel Adam Rogers, and associates Valerie Novales and Matthew Grosack. Austin joins the litigation practice while Kaye becomes part of corporate practice and co-chair DLA’s U.S. healthcare unit.
