Sheppard Mullin, Adveq and Lowenstein Sandler
Sheppard Mullin hires a new partner in Orange County, Adveq promotes vice president to executive director and Lowenstein Sandler pulls from McDermott Will & Emery
Adveq – Asset manager Adveq will promote Sanjay Gupta to executive director effective Jan. 1. Gupta jointed Adveq, a company that invests in private equity and real assets, in 2008 as a senior associate on the investment management team. He is moving to the executive director position from his job as vice president, where he leads the firm’s U.S. buyout and turnaround investment practices.
Alvarez & Marsal – The firm announced the addition of Walt Boyer to its financial industry advisory services group as a managing director based in Houston. Boyer has more than 32 years of experience as a commercial and investment banking professional. Prior to joining A&M, he was a managing director with New York investment bank Keefe Bruyette & Woods. Before that, he served as former senior vice president at Amegy Bank of Texas NA.
Kirkland & Ellis LLP – Sarkis Jebejian has joined the New York office as a partner in the firm's corporate practice group. Jebejian was previously with the New York office of Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP, where he was a partner in the corporate department.
Loving Care Agency Inc. – Loving Care Agency Inc., backed by private equity firms MTS Health Investors LLC and Oaktree Capital Management LP, has hired Glen Cavallo as president and chief executive. In his last position, Cavallo was president of SolAmor Hospice. Before that, he held senior management positions with Medshares Home Health Inc., Beverly Home Care Inc. and Columbia / HCA Healthcare.
Lowenstein Sandler – Lowenstein Sandler hired Seth Goldsamt as a partner in its specialty finance practice. Goldsamt will be based in Lowenstein’s New York City office focusing on public and private securities offerings, private equity and mergers and acquisitions. He was previously a partner at McDermott Will & Emery.
Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP - Megan Gess has joined Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP as a partner in the firm’s corporate practice group in the firm’s Orange County office. Previously, Gess was at O’Melveny & Myers in Newport Beach. She represents public and private clients for mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, public offerings and private placements. Gess also counsels clients on securities law reporting and compliance, corporate governance and general contract matters.
