Arsenal Capital, BakerHostetler, William Blair
Arsenal promotes a vice president, BakerHostetler names 18 partners and William Blair adds three bankers to San Francisco office
Arsenal Capital Partners — The New York-based private equity named Eugene Gorbach a principal. Gorbach, who focuses on specialty industrial companies and healthcare investments, joined Arsenal in 2008 as a senior associate and was named vice president in 2010. Previously, he worked at American Capital Strategies, Madison Dearborn Partners and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM).
BakerHostetler — Eighteen lawyers at the firm have been named partners, including, in Cleveland, Gilbert Brosky, David Carney, Ruth Hartman and Kathleen O'Connor, and in Columbus Ohio, Rand McClellan, Matthew Roberts and Todd Yaross. Gregory Lee, Jessica Parker Malchow and Michael Vitale were each promoted at the firm’s Orlando office. Dennis Cohen, Sammi Malek, Geoffrey North and Geraldine Ponto were named partners in New York. Other promotions to partner include Lauren Deeb in Costa Mesa ,Calif.; A. Jeremy Atencio in Denver; Matthew Raley in Houston; Paul Levine in Washington, D.C.
C.W. Downer & Co. — Malcolm McComas (pictured) has joined the investment bank as managing director in Australia, replacing Peter Martin, who retired in December after more than 15 years. In addition, Gregory Fanikos has been promoted to director at C.W.'s Boston headquarters.
ICV Partners — The lower middle-market investment firm focused named Zeena Rao managing director. Rao joined ICV in 2001 as the fourth investment professional and was promoted to vice president in 2010. Prior to joining ICV, she was in the investment banking division at Lehman Brothers in New York.
Main Street Capital Holdings LLC — W. Ryan Davis has joined the Pittsburgh-based private equity firm. He was previously at the law firm of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP.
Nixon Peabody LLP — Amy Pugliano O’Keefe and Kelly Babson will be promoted to the firm's partnership on Feb. 1. Both will continue working out of Nixon Peabody's Boston office. O’Keefe will advises buyers and sellers as part of the firm's global business and transactions practice, while Babson advises on securities laws and public company transactions.
Ridgemont Equity Partners —Kelly Brennan has been promoted to vice president from associate. Brennan, who previously worked at Charlotte, N.C.-based asset management firm Sterling Capital Management, joined Ridgemont in 2010.
TSG Consumer Partners LLC — Blythe Jack (pictured) and Robyn Lawrie Rutledge have been named managing directors and partners. Both had previously been principals in the investment firm, which has offices in San Francisco and New York. Before TSG, Jack was a 10-year deal veteran at Rosewood Capital, while Rutledge was previously with Thoma Cressey Equity Partners and Goldman Sachs & Co. (NYSE: GS). Both are expected to continue growing the firm with new investments, primarily in the consumer goods sector.
William Blair & Co. — The Chicago-based investment bank added Cheryl Hines as managing director, Ken Gillespie as director, and Jeff Pickett as senior vice president. They will be based in William Blair’s San Francisco office. The team will be responsible for expanding the firm’s banking services to both the public sector and non-profit clients. Hines joins from Raymond James's San Francisco office, where she was a managing director and western regional manager in public finance. She has held several senior positions over the years at the San Francisco offices of various other banks, including Merrill Lynch & Co., Goldman Sachs & Co. and Morgan Stanley & Co. (NYSE: MS). Like Hines, Pickett also joins from Raymond James, where he was a vice president in public finance. Before that, he worked at Jefferies & Co. Inc., Bank of America Merrill Lynch (NYSE: BAC), and RBC Capital Markets LLC. Gillespie joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
