Peter Gonye, a co-leader within Spencer Stuart's private equity practice in North America was the keynote speaker. Panelists included M. Paul Hastings hires a partner in Paris, a husband-and-wife team joins Raymond James, and Valence Group names a managing director

Chadbourne & Parke LLP — The law firm has expanded its Latin America group with Margarita Oliva Sainz de Aja (pictured). Prior to joining Chadbourne & Parke, she spent more than 16 years with Allen & Overy LLP. In her new post, Sainz de Aja will work out of the firm’s New York, Mexico City and São Paulo offices.


GCA Savvian Advisors LLC — Alex Vitale has joined the investment bank’s electronic practice as a managing director. He will be based in San Francisco. Prior to joining GCA Savvian, Vitale was a managing director at Deutsche Bank Securities where he was responsible for coverage of the electronics supply chain sector.


Mayer Brown LLP — William Heller and Harry Beaudry were each hired as partners in the law firm’s  corporate and securities practice in Houston. Previously, Heller and Beaudry were partners at Thompson & Knight.


Paul Hastings LLP — The law firm brought in David Revcolevschi (pictured) as a partner with the corporate practice group in Paris. He joins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, where he was a partner. Prior to joining Freshfields in 2007, Revcolevschi served as European counsel to Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP, also in Paris.


Raymond James & Associates Inc. — The financial advisory firm hired the husband-and-wife team of Philip and Barbara Maurer. Both were previously wealth management advisers at Morgan Stanley. Also joining Raymond James is David Kushner, an adviser on corporate retirement plans. He previously served as second vice president and financial planning specialist, also at Morgan Stanley. They will each be based at the firm’s Newtown, Pa. office.


Renasant Bank — The Atlanta bank hired Mike Knuckles as an executive vice president. He will also act as manager of a newly created unit, Renasant Business Credit Division, which is focused on asset-based lending.
