Janney Expands Capital Markets Group

The Philadelphia financial services firm makes new hires while planning to open an office in Dallas

Philadelphia-based financial services firm Janney Montgomery Scott expanded its capital markets group with new hires and plans to open an office in Dallas.

The company, an independently operated subsidiary of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co., added Charles Engel and Paul Callahan as managing directors for its institutional credit sales team and Colin Morse as a vice president for its financial institutions team.

Engel was most recently senior vice president at high yield sales at MF Global. He will be based in Dallas and focus on developing Janney’s institutional credit market business.

Callahan also comes from MF Global and previously served with Samco Capital Markets and First Albany Capital. He will be based in New York.

Morse will also be based in New York. He previously worked at First Empire Securities.

Janney also hired two public finance executives who will be based in New York.
