Harbour Group Invests in Onicon

Onicon manufactures energy measurement systems used in heating and cooling systems

Harbour Group has invested in Onicon Inc.

Clearwater, Fla.-based Onicon designs and manufactures energy measurement systems and flow-metering devices, including BTW meters and turbine, electromagnetic, ultrasonic, thermal mass and vortex meters. The products are used in water-based heating and cooling systems.

Harbour, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., manufactures and distributes boiler systems, kitchen and bath hardware and other products.

The deal took about seven weeks to be completed, from initial contact through closing. Terms were not disclosed.

Babson Capital Management LLC provided senior debt to support the deal.
