Tech, Media & Telecom: Go Daddy Buys M.dot

M.dot is a mobile application that allows small businesses to create and manage their websites

Go Daddy, a web platform for small businesses, has acquired M.dot Inc., a mobile application for small-business website creation.

The application also allows small businesses to manage their websites from a smartphone or tablet. The deal is reportedly valued at $15 million. 

M.dot was founded by Dominik Balogh and Pavel Serbajlo, and backed by venture capital firms Floodgate, SV Angel and Archimedes Labs.

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. LLP (NYSE: KKR), Silver Lake and Technology Crossover Ventures invested in Go Daddy in December 2011.
