Global M&A Gets CEO
Synergis’ Allison Dent will oversee the organization’s efforts to “consolidate” its current market position as the new head.

Cross-border deal alliance Global M&A GmbH tapped Allison Dent to serve as its chief executive officer. Dent, who is a co-founder and managing partner of Canada-based Synergis Capital, will maintain her role at Synergis.
Global M&A is an investment banking partnership consisting of 40 mid-market advisory firms that focus on cross-border transactions valued between €10 million and €250 million. Michael Gibbons, a managing director and principal of member firm Brown Gibbons Lang & Co., currently serves as the chairman of Global M&A.
Gibbons noted in a statement that Dent’s appointment, a new role in the organization, underscores the growth of Global M&A. He added that she will help Global M&A “consolidate” its current market position.
Dent, prior to co-founding Synergis, had served in a corporate development role at Orthosoft Inc., a designer of surgical navigational systems, and before that worked for Secor Consulting in its corporate strategy division.
