Georgia Oak Invests in TeamOne Logistics

The deal follows several other workforce-training company acquisitions

Georgia Oak Partners has made an investment in TeamOne Contract Services LLC, a provider of employee services, including workforce staffing for warehouses.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Alpharetta, Ga.-based target, which does business as TeamOne Logistics, handles the recruitment, training and development of workers. It generates roughly $50 million in revenue and operates across 26 states.

Georgia Oak is partnering with the existing management of TeamOne Logistics, including the company’s president Jerry Gray, who founded the company in 2003.

Georgia Oak, headquartered in Atlanta, focuses on investments in the southeast U.S.

There were several other training-tool company acquisitions in 2012. In December, private equity firm BV Industries acquired John M. Campbell & Co., which provides training services for the oil and gas industry. In November, the Riverside Co. agreed to buy Digital University, an online training tool for bank and credit union workers.
