Exar Buys Alitor Assets

Alitor designs and develops hardware and software compression products

Exar Corp. (Nasdaq: EXAR) will buy Alitor Inc.’s assets for $5 million.

The purchase price could go up based on the amount of revenue generated.

Alitor, headquartered in Eatontown, N.J., designs and develops hardware and software compression products.

Fremont, Calif.-based Exar designs, develops and markets analog mixed-signal circuits and other products for the networking and storage, industrial and embedded systems and communications infrastructure markets.
