Digital Insurance Buys Group Brokerage

The deal will expand Digital Insurance’s presence in New England

Digital Insurance has acquired Cambridge, Mass.-based Group Brokerage Insurance Agency for an undisclosed amount.

Group Brokerage will operate under Digital Insurance’s digital benefit advisers segment.

Digital Insurance, headquartered in Atlanta, expects the deal to strengthen its presence in New England. The buyer is an employee benefits agency.

In August, Digital Insurance bought First Benefit Partners, an insurance company based in Knoxville, Tenn. In November, the company merged with employee benefits company Nielsen Benefits
