Delta Galil Takes Over LittleMissMatched

LittleMissMatched is known for its untraditional line of children's socks that don't match and aren't sold in pairs

Delta Galil USA will acquire retailer LittleMissMatched’s trademarks.

LittleMissMatched, founded in 2003 as a line of non-matching socks sold in odd numbers, sells socks, accessories, bedding, home décor, furniture and cosmetics targeted towards girls.

Delta Galil USA is a subsidiary of Delta Galil Industries (TASE: DELT). The company makes intimate apparel, bras, active wear, men’s underwear and loungewear for the Converse, Nicole Miller and Maidenform brands. The deal was announced Dec. 10. Terms weren’t disclosed.

The purchase comes at a busy time in the retail sector. In December, private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners LP purchased a 25 percent stake in the Topshop retail chain, Charlesbank Capital and Webster Capital bought OneStopPlus Group, a plus-size retail chain owner and Prospect Brands acquired Gerbing’s Heated Clothing Inc.
