Contract Land Acquires Peterson to Expand into Canada
Contract Land is backed by PE firm Hammond Kennedy Whitney & Co.
Contract Land Staff LLC has acquired Peterson Land Consulting Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition allows Contract to expand into Canada, as Peterson is based in Edmonton, Alberta.
Peterson specializes in land and right-of-way services for electrical generation, transmission and distribution. The company also services pipelines, substations, compressor stations and lease site projects.
Contract, headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, provides right-of-way consulting services in the U.S. to pipeline, utility, electric transmission, rail, public sector, solar and telecommunications clients. The services allow the clients to secure places for pipelines, utilities and other products. The company is backed by private equity firm Hammond Kennedy Whitney & Co Inc.
Hammond is a firm based in Indianapolis that has invested in AirWorx, Brant Screen Craft Inc. and Flutes Inc.
