ClearEdge Purchases UTC Power

The target develops fuel cells that aim to provide clean power for buildings, busses and cars

ClearEdge Power will purchase UTC Power for an undisclosed amount.

South Windsor, Conn.-based UTC Power is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). The target develops fuel cells that aim to provide clean power for buildings, busses and cars.

ClearEdge, headquartered in Hillsboro, Ore., provides energy services to commercial, institutional and residential customers. The buyer makes and sells on-site power systems that aim to deliver cost-effective power and heat and allow customers to save money. The deal was announced on Dec. 22.
