Alliance Network -- Halcyon Jets Holdings Inc.
Halcyon Jets Holdings Inc. (Halcyon) agreed to acquire the entire share capital of Alliance Network Communications Inc., a provider of electrical surge protection services, in exchange for 274 mil new Halcyon common shares valued at $5.48 mil. The shares were valued based on Halcyon's closing stock price of $0.02 on 30 June 2009, the last full trading day prior to the announcement. On a separate deal, Halcyon Jets Acquisition Group LLC agreed to acquire Halcyon Jets Inc.
Eklin Medical Systems Inc. -- VCA Antech Inc.
VCA Antech Inc. acquired Eklin Medical Systems Inc., a Santa Clara-based manufacturer of digital radiography products and developer of veterinary PACS software.
Executive Enterprise Institute -- SmartPros Ltd
SmartPros Ltd acquired Executive Enterprise Institute, a Cincinnati-based provider of training and development services.
The Done Right Directory-Cert -- Tree.com Inc.
Tree.com Inc. acquired certain assets of The Done Right Directory, a Pasadena- based provider of online directory services.

Hochschild Mining PLC of the United Kingdom planned to acquire a 12.17% stake, or 5 mil common shares, in Gold Resource Corp., a Denver-based gold and silver mining company, for $4 per share, or a total value of $20 mil, in a privately negotiated transaction.

The NewsMarket Inc. definitively agreed to merge with Medialink Worldwide Inc., a New York-based provider of news and media services, for $0.2 in cash per share, or a total value of $1.286 million.

Ball Corp. definitively agreed to acquire 4 metal beverage can and lid manufacturing plants, located in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, Columbus, Ohio, Rome, Georgia and Gainesville, Florida, of Metal Container Corp., a St Louis-based manufacturer of metal beverage cans and lids and a unit of Stichting Interbrew SA's Anheuser-Busch Inbev 52.96% subsidiary, for $577 mil in cash.

Prince William Health System Inc. merged with Novant Health Inc., a Winston Salem- based owner and operator of hospital.
Gulf States LTAC-Certain Asts -- RehabCare Group Inc.
RehabCare Group Inc. planned to acquire an 80% interest in certain assets of Gulf States LTAC of Dallas LLC (Gulf States), an owner and operator of hospitals. Terms were not disclosed. Upon completion, the long-tem acute care hospital in Dallas was to be renamed Dallas LTAC Hospital.

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. acquired Pharm/ DUR Inc., a Philadelphia-based provider of pharmacy audit and verification services.
