Harrison St. Real Estate Nabs Burkemper
The Chicago-based private equity firm brings on Morgan Stanley vet to source and close specialty real estate deals.

Harrison St. Real Estate Capital, the Chicago-based private equity firm controlling nearly $2 billion in real estate assets, has enlisted Mark Burkemper to join its acquisition group as a senior associate.
The former Morgan Stanley real estate pro will be responsible to source, analyze and close deals in Harrison St.s areas of specialty real estate.
Harrison St. Real Estates existing assets include student housing facilities, senior living, self storage and boat storage units and medical office space, across 25 states.
Prior to joining Harrison St. Real Estate Capital, Burkemper sourced and underwrote deals in the US, Canada and Mexico for numerous Morgan funds. He analyzed more than $10 billion in potential deals, and completed $700 million in transactions including office, retail, land and infrastructure deals.
