Olshan Grundman Frome Rosenzweig & Wolosky LLP will bring Yehuda Markovits and Lori Marks-Esterman to its corporate and litigation practices as partners, the firm said.
Markovits, 34, focuses on finance, M&A, securities law and general corporate representation. From 1998 to 2006, he was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Marks-Esterman, 35, practices commercial litigation matters, securities laws and corporate dissolutions. She will join Olsham Grundman's real estate team, as she has a depth of experience in this field.
Late last year, Olshan opportunistically added more partners from disbanding Dreier LLP, the law firm that was run by Marc Dreier until his arrest for allegedly perpetuating a series of crimes netting millions of dollars.
Joining the firm as an equity partner is Steven R. Gursky, who is a well-known attorney with experience in Intellectual Property, Real Estate and general counseling. In addition, Mitchell B. Stern and Martin J. Feinberg have joined as partners, Mark S. Lafayette, Mary L. Grieco and Elliott J. Brown have joined as counsel, and Matthew S. Root, Safia A. Anand and Melanie J. Sacks have joined as associates, Olshan said on its Web site.
Other Olshan hires this year include the addition of Allen R. Wolff to its litigation practice, and prior to that, also added Kyle C. Bisceglie, as a partner, and Howard J. Smith , III, as an associate.
Michael R. Neidell and David J. Weisz have been named partners in Olshan's corporate and real estate Groups respectively, last year, and it is not yet clear who this year will see their rank within the firm elevated.
